Antique Cabinet Card J. S. Shaff Baby Lace Dress Fur Chair Seneca Seneca Kas KS

This antique cabinet card features a portrait of a baby dressed in an intricate lace dress, captured in a studio setting by J. S. Shaff. The infant is posed seated upon a plush fur chair, a common prop used in professional photography of the late nineteenth century to add texture and comfort to the composition.

The portrait originates from Seneca, Kas, documenting local photographic history in Kansas. This piece offers a glimpse into frontier-era portraiture, serving as a charming addition for collectors of Victorian cabinet cards or regional Kansas ephemera.

A beautifully preserved look at a baby in a lace dress from the Seneca studio of J. S. Shaff.
