Antique CDV Bf Hale Seated Man Suit Cravat "Missing Legs" Rochester NY
This antique CDV features a seated man posing for a formal portrait in Rochester, NY. The subject is dressed in a sharp suit and a meticulously tied cravat, projecting the dignified air common to mid-19th-century studio photography.
The image presents a curious visual anomaly where the man appears to have missing legs, likely the result of an early photographic cropping error or a print defect during the development process.
Collectors of Victorian-era portraiture will appreciate this unique Rochester studio relic. It serves as a fascinating example of 1860s photographic oddities, highlighting the specific aesthetic of a Hale seated man portrait.
