Antique CDV D C Burnite Toddler Child Chair Harrisburg PA Balustrade

This antique CDV captures a solemn studio portrait of a toddler seated regally in a specialized child chair. The young subject rests against a carved balustrade, a common Victorian prop used to add architectural depth to formal studio sessions.

The image bears the distinct backmark of Burnite, a noted photographer based in Harrisburg, PA. This piece offers a glimpse into 19th-century portraiture trends, where elaborate furniture was employed to steady restless children during long exposures.

Collectors of Pennsylvania history will appreciate this fine example of a Harrisburg studio portrait featuring a child chair and ornate balustrade.
