This antique CDV captures a tender, formal portrait of a mother seated gracefully while holding her baby. The composition reflects the classic studio aesthetic typical of the Victorian era, showcasing a poignant moment of maternal connection preserved in sharp detail.

The reverse of the card bears the imprint of J Barnard, a photographer working out of Biggleswade in the county of Bedford.
