Antique CDV Young Man Standing Plaid Trousers Holding Whip Fringed Chair
This antique CDV captures a dapper young man standing with poise in a nineteenth-century portrait studio. He is dressed in striking plaid trousers, leaning slightly against an ornate, fringed chair that adds a touch of Victorian elegance to the composition.
The subject is captured holding a whip, an unusual and curious prop that suggests a background in equestrian pursuits or carriage driving. This sharp image appeals to collectors of Victorian fashion and those interested in the unique accessories used in early photography.
A fascinating look at a young man from a bygone era.
