Vtg Color Snapshot People Looking Down Zoo Bear Pit Enclosure Courtyard 1970s
This authentic color snapshot captures a group of people looking down into a concrete zoo bear pit from the safety of an elevated courtyard enclosure. The figures lean over the railing, their 1970s fashion and hairstyles providing a candid look at a typical afternoon spent at the city zoo.
The composition highlights the brutalist architecture common in mid-century animal exhibits. Collectors of 1970s Americana will appreciate this window into the casual leisure habits and public spaces of the era. It is a nostalgic view of people observing the bear pit.
