Vtg RPPC Postcard Le Stryge Chimera Notre-Dame Roof Paris FR 1940s
This striking RPPC captures the famous Le Stryge chimera perched upon the Notre Dame roof overlooking the sprawl of Paris. The composition highlights the pensive, cynical expression of the stone demon as it gazes out from its Gothic vantage point, offering a moody and atmospheric perspective of the French capital.
Collectors of architectural history and dark aesthetics will value this authentic glimpse into the 1940s, a decade that defined the resilience of France. The Real Photo clarity brings out the weathered texture of the sculpture and the distant urban horizon, making it a premier example of mid-century travel photography.
An evocative view of the iconic Stryge watching over the city.
