1886 Reading PA to Birdsboro PA Postal Cover Envelope 2c Washington Stamp Berks

This is an original 19th-century postal cover mailed from Reading, Pennsylvania, to Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, in February 1886. The envelope is addressed in elegant cursive to Miss Olive Hart in Berks County. It features a vibrant orange or salmon-colored paper stock that remains quite striking.

The cover is franked with a 2-cent red George Washington stamp, which has been cancelled by a clear circular date stamp from Reading, PA, dated Feb 19, 1886. The postmark includes the time of 3 PM.

In terms of condition, this item shows typical signs of age for a piece of mail from the 1880s. There is some light wear along the edges and corners, but the envelope remains intact.
